Your first sight upon waking, Saint Joseph, must have been for the baby Jesus, lying not far from you; the tender gaze of a man in the prime of life, on the fragile little being trusting in your protection.

And yet: this vulnerable child is the Son of God made flesh, the Almighty Word in which the world subsists … What a mystery!

Teach me, Saint Joseph, prostrate before the Eucharist, to murmur like you, bending over the cradle of the Child: « I believe, I adore, I hope and I love you; I ask forgiveness for those who do not believe, do not worship, do not hope and do not love you! «
